Taking inspiration from the gorgeous sea and cliffscapes along the Cornish coast. A beautiful tactile piece.

Smooth to the touch from careful burnishing with a beach pebble. A vibrant yellow glaze frames the rim with a distinctive crackle created by the naked Raku method. A resist slip is used followed by a resist glaze. The pot is removed from the kiln when it’s red hot & the cool air causes the glaze to crackle. Smoked in sawdust so the carbon penetrates the cracks.

Finally cleaned and polished to reveal the gorgeous one of a kind vessel.
