This is an exclusive opportunity to work with Catherine in her large rural studio near Penzance, Cornwall. With over 40 years experience with Raku fired ceramics, Catherine is a Master Artisan as selected by the Michelangelo Homer Faber Guide.
Bring your own small bisque fired pieces or purchase small bowls and pots to decorate on the day. (IMPORTANT: Please request these in advance).
Please note: For advanced Raku techniques such as Naked Raku/Slip Resist Raku pots must be burnished.
Pots and bowls must be made from a clay that is suitable for Raku firing and must be bisque fired in advance preferably to a low bisque temperature of 950ºc.
I offer a bisque firing service which needs to be booked at least a week in advance of the Raku day.
Learn from an expert and get support with your own Raku firings. Including lots of tips on how to get the most out of your own Raku firings once you get back home.
Once purchased contact Catherine in advance to arrange a suitable day. You are responsible for arranging local accommodation.
